SPEEDOMETER CALIBRATOR BY HYPERTECH

If you're running non-stock tires or are changing the rear gear ratio in your vehicle, Hypertech's Speedometer Calibrator can correct the speedometer and odometer for tires size changes and rear gear ratio changes!

We have 2 styles available...the first is a programmer that plugs into the OBDII port and is adjustable for tire changes up to 54" (on most applications...see link below descriptions for vehicle-specific information), while the second style is an inline module that plugs into your speedometer cluster and is adjustable for unlimited tire size changes and gear ratios. Depending upon the year, make and model of your vehicle, there may be only one choice of calibrator or both style calibrators may be available (see application table below).

OBDII STYLE SPEEDO CALIBRATOR

This device is engineered for the speedometer recalibration functions of the Max Energy Programmer, but without the additional expense of the other tuning features. This style works with most domestic vehicles and has specific part#'s for specific engine sizes (see applications listings below). The Speedometer Calibrator also comes with a USB cable and a CD containing software to enable quick updates and upgrades over the internet. This unit is also internet upgradeable to the full Max Energy Power Programmer!

How does it work? Simply plug the Speedometer Calibrator programmer into the vehicle's under-dash connector, select the tire height and new gear ratio, and in a matter of minutes, your vehicle's computer is reprogrammed for accurate speedometer and odometer readings (as required by law).

In addition, the Speedometer Calibrator reads and clears Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or "check engine" lights. This allows you to view detailed information about your vehicle's operation without having to purchase expensive diagnostic computers or scanners used by dealership technicians.

INLINE SPEEDO CALIBRATOR MODULE

Hypertech's In-Line Speedometer Calibrator Module is an in-line module to correct the speedometer and odometer for unlimited tires sizes and/or rear gear ratios. This module is perfect for vehicles with computers that don't allow for tire size and/or rear gear ratio correction or want to re-calibrate for sizes outside the range of programmers. You will find applications for many import vehicles and some domestic vehicles with this style module and, unlike the programmer style calibrator, this module works with any engine size for the applicable years (see applications listings below).

Installation Is A Snap

Using the USB cable connect the in-line Speedometer Calibrator Module to your PC and enter the new tire height and/or rear gear ratio. There are no limitations to tire height or rear gear ratios. Next, simply disconnect the factory connector to the instrument cluster (behind the dash), snap in the Speedometer Calibrator Module, reconnect the cluster, and you're done! In a matter of minutes, you can accurately correct your speedometer and odometer readings (as required by law).
