A snatch block is traditionally used when you’re in a tight spot while winching. The longer your cable gets, the lower the weight capacity and less pulling strength you have. With a snatch block, you can increase the pulling power or even change the direction of the pull if you’re trying to recover from a particularly bad spot.
As with all recovery gear, quality is a big deal. When you’re winching you’re dealing with cables or ropes stretched out with large amounts of weight, and low cost, cheaply made recovery gear is prone to breaking. Broken recovery gear in the very best situation leads to you being stranded, but in the worst case can lead to injury or even death.
Warn Epic Snatch Blocks will help you recover with piece of mind. You’ve got enough to worry about when you’re stuck in a half frozen mud pit by yourself two miles away from your house with no cell phone service then to have to sit and wonder if your gear can handle the pull.
All Epic Snatch Blocks are built from rugged, high quality materials and feature Warn’s famous protective E-coating. These blocks are capable of taking both synthetic and wire winching ropes for convenience and will provide a durable, and most importantly, reliable snatch block that will get you out of even the stickiest of situations.
